2009 Jordan Brewers Update Welcome to the all-new Jordan Brewers Baseball website. Continue to check back frequently to see updated stats, schedules and photos of Brewers Baseball. Last week the Brewers took to the field against the St. Peter Saints. It didn't start out the way the locals wanted as St. Peter jumped on top early 8-0 after 4 innings. But the Brewers were able to push across 3 runs in the 6th inning and chase the very tired Saints starter. Then came the bottom of the 8th, with the Brewers trailing 8-3 the locals exploded for 7 runs in the inning to take a 10-8 lead and the comeback was complete. Trent Bohnsack came on to shut the door in 9th for the victory. Adam Frey was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's. Tim Garnhardt also drove in 2 runs for the Brewers. Steven Beckman threw 4 shutout innings in relief to earn the victory. Final score: Brewers 10 St. Peter 8. For the 2nd year in a row Owatonna came to the Mini Met to face the Brewers. There is a connection between the Aces & Brewers as current Brewer Adam Hoffman and current Ace Tate Cummins are brother-in-laws. The game once again didn't start well for the locals as the Aces jumped on top of starter Jason Chalupsky 3-0 after 3 innings. But once again the Brewers fought back with 4 in the 4th inning to take the lead for good. 1 more run in the 5th and 2 more in the 6th and the Brewers cruised to victory. Jeremy Negen was 3 for 4 and Cullen Bahn added a 2 run home run. Jason Chalupsky earned the victory and Mike Beckius threw 3 innings in relief to earn the save. Final score: Brewers 7 Owatonna 4. The Brewers took there act on the road to Union Hill for a Thursday evening tilt. Scott Hollingsworth took the mound for the Brewers and was not sharp to start, but with the bats clicking was given the lead for most of the game. The Brewers only having 11 guys for the game managed there way through a tough game as a consective inning streak came to end for Jeremy Heitkamp as he had a ball go off his head during a bunt attempt. 4 guys had 2 hits a piece in this one: Adam Kalal, Adam Frey, Aaron Langsweirdt & Trent Bohnsack. Scott Hollingsworth went 8 innings to earn the victory. Final score: Brewers 8 Union Hill 4.
